I've passed this place many many times. I've never made an effort to try this place out until this year. I wanted to make it a point of trying out the Rose Tree Cottage as it could be a great birthday location. Prior to having tea, I roamed around the beautiful house and explored their shop!

I wanted to get a shopping basket and put everything in there! They had an amazing selection in antique tea cups, jams, and their packaged freshly made scones are so hard to resist! Prior to seating for tea, the tearoom advises to come 15 minutes early, which gives everyone the opportunity to roam around, explore, and shop! It was a great experience, can't wait to share the afternoon tea with you all in another post! Xo.

April is coming towards the end with just two weeks left. Typically this is when it gets extremely busy for me, along with planning my birthday which will take place early in May (which buys me a little more time). I've got everything planned out and almost ready to go! But before celebrating my birthday, this past weekend was all about celebrating my cousins birthday, the start of the playoffs, and of course Easter. I crafted up little bunnies on kraft paper, and made sure to mail them out early in the week so everyone could receive their snail mail before Sunday!



The only thing that I purchased to craft up the cards was the Happy Easter Stickers from Paper Source. All the other materials were already on hand. Crafting for Easter was completely different this year, as I typically craft up Eggs. I came across this bunny from one of my favorite blogs, and couldn't help but use him as my main inspiration! I hope everyone had a great weekend and Easter Sunday!

In the beginning of the year I helped my colleague create her wedding invitations. This was such an exciting and challenging project for me, as I've never crafted for a wedding before. Figured, I should start now since I'm at that age we're most folks are getting engaged or married. No worries, that's not in the cards for me anytime soon ;) But I sure love to help the ones that are! One of the first steps I wanted to do is really see what the bride-to-be wanted as for style, color schemes, and simplicity. Simplicity was key for her, so I started off by crafting up 3 to 4 different styles, and have her choose and combine the ones she loved most.



Most materials I had on hand, she had provided the cards itself for me to craft on. After choosing the one she loved we then went over the details inside the invitation, and the envelopes. It came out absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to share with you all later this week or next!

One morning I woke up early on my day off to an empty house. I went straight to the fridge to bring out eggs, butter, etc and decided to do some baking! I can't remember when was the last time I baked leisurely. As folks were coming over for dinner later that day, I thought my signature chocolate chip cookies would be perfect for dessert!




After baking the cookies, I went on an errand and picked up a tub of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. We had a delicious home made italian dinner, followed by me serving the cookies and Vanilla bean. I made sure to serve the cookies warm with the ice cream. It was such a success! I hope I can get back into the habit of baking weekly. Until next time!

When it came to crafting for my close friends RK's birthday, I wanted to keep the theme the same: black and gold. I was going through my card stock, and came across a pile of vintage patterns in the color scheme I wanted. From there everything just flowed together!

My little trip to vegas came at such a perfect time for finding birthday gifts. The ending of March was filled with birthdays to celebrate! One was specifically for a close friend to whom is apart of the group of gals I hang with. I thought I would take advantage in Nevada, with the low sales tax (it's almost 10% in Santa Monica!), and variety of shops they offer.

Today definitely feels like a "lazy Sunday" type of day. With the crisp air blowing, and the bright skies passing can't help to think cold weather rarely exists here in Southern Calif. As we consider this "cold" i'm going to soak all of it up. Sooner than we know it's going to be warm and sunny. After getting a few phone calls and emails done, I brewed up hot water, and decided to have afternoon tea at home along with fruit!




I can't believe it's already April. I remember just planning and crafting things for L. Belle's birthday in the beginning of March! I've got things to focus on, money to make, and planning, a lot of planning. Not to mention I do love this month as it is my birthday, along with other loved ones. Much celebrating will be happening. Can't wait to unfold here!

The first day I was there we really explored downtown. The remaining days we stayed on the strip- dining, drinking, and of course shopping. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to go to the tea room, and a museum i've been wanting to go.. Which gives me more reason to go again ;) Here are a few stills from the remainder of the trip:





Vegas shopping and dining is endless. There was so many places I wanted to try, but so little time! I wanted to go back to bouchon and mon ami gabi. Those two seem to be my favorite in Vegas. Maybe I should just visit the bouchon here in Beverly Hills! I haven't been yet, it would be a new location to explore. Mmmmm.
