February inspiration: Sandy's Wedding Invitations.

February 07, 2016

Hello February,
I'm adjusting to time, and am having a lazy Sunday.  January came and went.  With Valentines Day approaching I needed some inspiration (cut out hearts included).  I wanted to share the time I added finishing touches to Sandy's wedding invitations.  To think that, I was just talking with Sandy about her marrying her boyfriend when working at the Gap.  Cheers to keeping in touch and for letting me be apart of it! Xo

{I tried a more regular texture lace but didn't seal correctly}

{After a few trips to Michaels and Downtown LA I found the perfect lace}

{Thankfully the washi tape I had on hand complemented the invitation perfectly!}

{Ready to send off!}

Sandy created and put together the invitation itself.  She wanted to add a little touch to complete the invitation before sending it off to family & friends.  To match her simple & modern style, I wanted a little pop of red and add a similar hue to the light blue banners and ring.  Sandy requested lace to be incorporated as well.  Without adding width to the mail, I sealed the invitation and RSVP envelope/card with pressed ivory laced, using the light blue washi tape I had, and cutting plenty of red card stock using a heart martha stewart cutter.  I'm thinking of bringing out the cutter and doing some bunting and maybe heart fills for envelopes!  I do have a week left ;)
