merry un-birthday tea invitations.

Happy Friday Darlings!

Every year when hosting my un(birthday)tea, I try to make a point and send out invitations.  Luckily I succeeded last year and sent some out!  Since this year was my Golden Birrthday* I wanted to incorporate Gold in this years invitations.  As I planned more and more for the tea party I decided the color theme to be Gold, Pink, and White.  I'm not one who is big on Pink, but for some reason this year I've been obsessing over it!

A few months ago Shutterfly was having a promo where you can choose a free gift and just pay for shipping (which they do a few times a month).  This time around this free promo was for a stationary set.  I decided to custom make a set and use it for my invitations.  I picked out a photo from afternoon tea and came upon this one from earlier this year (Shown Above).

What made it even perfect is that it had the option for you to choose your own envelope.  Of course, I decided to go with the gold envelopes.  For a set of cards and envelopes I only paid $5.50.  When it came to mailing out the invitations I wanted to use the forever floral stamps (my go-to).  With sealing the invitations I used a pastel pink and gold washi tape, and a glittery gold seal that I got on sale at Target!  It came out perfect and I'm pretty sure most of my gals received the invitations already.  It's always so nice to receive something via USPS vs. email don't you think?
