new york eats.

Happy Friday everyone! and happy 2nd day of Fall!

It's been almost three weeks since I've gotten back from New York.  I've been fortunate enough to have gone multiple times a year for work.  I'm thankful to have a job that includes traveling bi coastal.  Usually when going to NY I always stay in Chelsea, Manhattan.  The location is central and everything is either a subway ride or uber ride away.  I wanted to share with you a full day of  food from all the yummy places I've eaten.  Let's start with the most important meal of the day.  BREAKFAST!

Cece introduced me to the Doughnut Plant.  A few years ago while working in NY she opened up a box and said "take one, it's the best doughnut ever!"  Ever since I took a bite of their PB&J I was hooked!  Thankfully this location was on 23rd and less than two blocks away from our hotel.  After getting ready, we headed out grabbed a box, and sipped on espressos.  It was the perfect way to start the day!

Less than a 10 minute walk would lead me to where I would eat for lunch next.  I've been to Burgers & Lobster last winter for a quick bite and just remembered how simple their menu was and how delicious their cocktails where!  When going here a few weeks ago, I knew I had to try the lobster roll!  They only have 3 things on their menu: Burger, Lobster, and their Lobster Roll.  The drink menu however is endless!

I've always seen Eataly on my way to work but never tried it.  A friend recommended that I go for dinner last year but never made it.  This time around, since it was summer I knew I wanted to go for dinner as nights where a little humid and I was in need of wine and a good meal!  From all the eating in NY I wanted something light to eat.  The choices at Eataly made it difficult to chose one thing!  I ended up eating a perfectly crafted salad, a little seafood, and the amazing pizza shown above.  I had a scoop of their famous gelato but that didn't quite cut it for my sweet tooth! (They're opening an Eatly in Century City!)

For dessert (saving the best for last).  You know I had to always get my favorite.  This box of macarons from the Laduree in SOHO was special as they were celebratory macarons for my new position/promotion.  There's always something about the atmosphere in Laduree, I can never get enough of it!  I'll be sharing this lovely location and the one in Champ Elysse in Paris.  All this typing about food is making me hungry.  (Not to mention, THEY'RE FINALLY OPENING ONE IN LA at the Grove)  What are your favorite places to eat in NY?  I'll try it out when I go back in a few months!
