afternoon tea in new orleans.

March 16, 2017

I've done a good amount of traveling the past few years and I have yet to share all of them here.  The last time I shared my trip to NOLA was when I went to St Roch's Market.  One day on a Saturday we decided to walk (instead of uber) right outside the Center City to the Windsor Court Hotel Le Salon.  I did a bit of re-search before traveling to NOLA and having afternoon tea at Le Salon was quite popular, I made reservations asap. Le Salon only had two seating times for tea, and I chose for the 2:00pm seating.

Since it was a Saturday I thought glasses of mimosas before a pot of tea was called for.  My favorite course would probably have to be the tea sandwiches.  Tea sandwiches during afternoon tea in a hotel is always different and I love how it's always unique and not traditional.  They had a live pianist and the vibe was elegant yet easy going (in the big easy).  With tummies full from tea, it was perfect to spend the afternoon walking around and exploring more and yes, I did leave a little room for beignets which i'll share soon!

Yay for the weekend that's almost upon us! XO
