a festive friendsgiving.

November 22, 2017

Of course the week of Thanksgiving it decides to be in the high 80's and mid 90's we might as well go to the beach before having turkey to build up an appetite!  I've been in the holiday mood for about two weeks now and yes, I've already started my Christmas decorating >.<.  I'm excited for this 4-day weekend and spending time with family and getting our bellies full!

A few weeks ago my best friend hosted a friendsgiving at her house.  What I loved so much about it is that her house is actually up in the mountains, literally in the woods.  So imagine, eating comfort thanksgiving food, being surrounded by tall trees, fresh smelling pine cones fill the air, along with great company!  Well, that's how I pictured it- I couldn't attend since I had a trip planned to San Diego.  So the day before she hosted her friendsgiving, I made sure to decorate my presence all around.

I bought this Thanksgiving stamp (shown above) not too long ago from Hobby Lobby and I knew it would come handy every year this time of year.  I made a quick trip to the dollar store and found rolls of craft paper to use as table covers (for easy cleaning) and found various fall leaves to lay.  Also, I contributed the two festive pumpkins that I had for fall decorations, I thought it added more character to the table!  What's not shown is the two cake stands I brought from work and wrapped different orange ribbon on the stem  so it would be festive with the home baked goodies that would go on top.

My best friend did inform me that it was such a successful friends-giving and everyone loved her festive home.  Hope you all have a great time with your family, friends and loved ones!
