5 year anniversary.

November 22, 2019

My anniversary with M is originally on November 9th.  Although the beginning of the month was crazy as he had to prep for work and go out of town for a week, I was lucky enough to tag along for the ride :). While we were out of town, we celebrated the week of our anniversary at one of our favorite steakhouse Bavette's. After a few glasses of Walker and Champagne we came to realize that the our dinner was taken care with the help of my sweet friend Jay.  I mentioned to M, if we can celebrate a little more later this month and he agreed.

As you all know I love Disneyland and go very often.  This time of year is my ABSOLUTE favorite since it's the Holidays and something about Main Street USA being wrapped in garland, ornaments, and mickey shaped wreaths really makes me feel nostalgic and very festive!  I had brought up the idea of just keeping it simple with our anniversary this year and doing a day at Disneyland.  M and I were both on the same page that we needed to go on a weekday, & before kids on go Thanksgiving break. So we ended up going this past Wednesday :)

What made this trip even sweeter was it was raining on and off that day which made Disneyland a little less packed and a little more intimate.  I'm always game for a Disney rainy day!  The day was incredibly chill, we ate, we drank, and rode on a few rides.  He also had me pick out my my favorite festive cookies at Trolly Treats, and had me pick out a Spirit Jersey since I haven't owned any.. until now!  It was simple and much needed since M has been non-stop at work.

This year for me personally has been the hardest but also most memorable.  This year we adopted a puppy 2 months ago, and we're planning to take our first out of the country trip early next year!  I know I sound like a broken record, but my relationship with M, wouldn't survive if it wasn't for understanding and communication.

There's things we have to accept and move forward on that will make this relationship stronger, & there are things that needed to addressed to understand the other person's needs.  We adjust to what we are comfortable with and are willing to make changes to better ourselves, and to better this relationship.  This year was the most challenging one up to date, but we got through it and honestly, I love him and appreciate him even more for that.

I'm incredibly excited for what's to come in our relationship ahead. I love you so much M, and I can't wait to celebrate 50 more years and beyond ;). (hope you got my reference there).

Cheers to love!
