simple birthday card.
August 09, 2015Before I craft I always have a concept in my head. Whether it was something that I thought of earlier or another day. My makeup guru pal Jo's birthday was coming up, so I decided to craft up a birthday card for her and have a night out to dinner. I was going through my card stock and came across this green patterned envelope set from Paper Source. After catching my eye on the envelope, I knew I wanted colors that complimented the moss patterned tone.
Everything I used was on hand.
- vintage rubber stamp, and paris washi tape is from Anthropologie.
- happy birthday rubber stamp is from Michaels.
- vintage card stock as background is from a gift from a scrap booking convention.
Other than light colors, I also love a good deep dark mustard yellow and forest/olive green don't you agree? Sounds like someone is ready for fall to come along.. ;)
