handmade valentines.

February 13, 2014

It could be the possibility of bringing over the red ribbon, or paper from the Holidays to Valentines. Each year for Valentines, I always make a dozen handmade cards to give and mail out to all my loved ones. At the beginning of this year, I was at Paper Source. I saw a card with two owls on it that said "Owl always love you" right then and there, I was instantly inspired for this years Valentines Day Cards..

I made the envelopes and liners myself. I used  construction paper, card stock, and this multicolored heart paper.  I used left over gift tags from the Holidays. The felt owls and little doilies, are from Michaels

Unfortunately, I had no time to bake this Valentines Day. When it came to what candy to give, I wanted to switch it up this year. I got a good amount of old fashion candy. I also went to Trader Joes, and picked up my favorite Belgium Chocolate Bars. I had left over paper, so I handmade little envelopes to put the old fashion candy in. Everything fit perfectly with the cards!

It all tied together. I've been keeping these Valentines Day cards in my handbag. I've been passing them out to my loved ones when I see them for tea, brunch, or for coffee. If you haven't gotten yours yet, don't worry you'll be getting them in the mail next week. All my love.. XO
